MRA (Magaliessig Residents’ Association), formerly known as the Magaliessig Action Forum (MAF), was established in response to plans to develop the land opposite Merrowdown Plaza into a Makro store. The association believed the proposed development would negatively affect the character, traffic and quality of life within the suburb.

Following the successful opposition to these plans, MRA is now engaging constructively with the land’s prospective developers to help ensure that any future development considers the interests of the wider Magaliessig community.
